Export From Outlook

You can export all your emails, calendar and contact data from Outlook to store as a backup or to use as a method of transferring your information from one Exchange Server system to another.

 

Follow these steps to export all your Email, Calendar and Contact data from your current Outlook/Exchange System:

 

 

1. Start your Outlook application and click File | Open | Import.  (From Outlook 2003, select File | Import and Export...)

 

2. Select Export to a file, then click Next >


 

3. Select Outlook Data File (.pst) then click Next >


 

4. Ensure that your Exchange Server account name is selected (the very top item in the list - see example below), check Include subfolders and then click Next >


 

5. Click Browse... and save the exported file somewhere you'll remember like your My Documents folder or your Desktop.  Ensure that Replace duplicates with items exported is selected and click Finish.

 

 

6. Your finished!  The export process will run for a while.  Once it's completed you can then backup/save your PST file to a safe location or use it to import your email, calendar and contact data into another Exchange mailbox using Outlook.
