NOTE: In order to complete these next steps, you'll need to have successfully logged-in to your new Hosted Exchange mailbox with your Outlook application. In you've not done this, first configure Outlook by clicking this link.
Follow these steps to import all your email, calendar and contact data from your previously created PST file into your new Hosted Exchange server mailbox (see this link for the Export process):
1. Start your Outlook application and click File | Open | Import. (From Outlook 2003, select File | Import and Export...)
2. Select Import from another program or file then click Next >
3. Select Outlook Data File (.pst) from the list and then click Next >
4. Click Browse... and locate your previously exported PST file and click Open then ensure that Replace duplicates with items imported is selected and then click Next > (example filename shown below)
5. Ensure that you select the top-most item in the tree (your previously exported mailbox account name) and specify your new Hosted Exchange mailbox account name in the Import items into the same folder in: drop-down list (see example below) and then click Finish.
6. You're finished! The import process will run for a while and when completed you can begin using Outlook right away without restarting.
NOTE: Do not disrupt the import process or allow your computer to go to sleep as it will corrupt the import and you'll have to repeat these steps again.
